Christmas time,
Throughout this activity students from the nursing program were exposed
to a set of listening exercises in order to recognize all structures in present
continuous and vocabulary related to Christmas.
Firstly, students did diverse listening
comprehension exercises such as true-false and matching ones. Then, when played
a game in which they were asked about the new words and their corresponding
pronunciation. The idea was to stick on the board a picture in front of the agreeing
word or phrase.
Secondly, students built up a short
conversation where they were supposed to use questions in present simple and
continuous forms regarding Christmas.
Finally, they presented their conversations to
the class and were given feedback about pronunciation and tenses.
