Learning as children!!

In their first class students from Tecnico en Sistemas Charala had lots of fun recreating different childhood stages as a way to identify how we learn. This activity introduce the methodology to be used and also help them act silly and feel more confident in the class environment. We really had a great time!

English Trail here we go!

"We are willing to learn", one of my students said that the first day of class.

The majority of my students are from "Dirección de Eventos" and "ADSI", they are very enthusiastic about asking questions to each other, using a cheat sheet.  A cheat sheet? Yes indeed, they are using the fifth graders' technique to pass the exam, writing on their hands key words to help them to remember the way they need to ask question to each other.

This activity helps the students to trust themselves and motivate them to speak without having any worry about mistaken, even forgetting they are doing it, which is really helpful to develop speaking skill.

The students move around the classroom asking and answering questions about personal stuff, using WH-questions.

Getting started !

Students from "Gestion de empresas agropecuarias" were quite eager to start learning english this year, so there is no better way to ignite this enthusiasm than with a competition. We were having a review about the alphabet and the numbers, so they had to compete against each other to see which one was the best competitor. They realized about the importance of having a good pronunciation and also learnt a lot through this activity.

Celebrating Saint Valentine's

During this activity apprentices from the group 322172 designed a Saint Valentines’ card in which they were supposed to show their writing abilities. The idea was to use different adjectives  to express emotions so that learners gave some poetic sense to the paragraph. Also it was necessary to make use of the present simple to address sentences correctly to the given-one. To have made the most of this special day in English speaking countries had learners to experience a contextualized living situation. Furthermore, it helped them to develop punctuation and use of certain words when writing paragraphs.
