Welcome to Colombia Weather Forecast!

Students of Asistencia Administrativa –Socorro-(Tuesday at night) a group about 22 learners, were doing a big challenge! They had to present a tv program using an online tool and taking about the Colombia weather. We were learning the different types of weather, and searching online about the IDEAM report. The final project was to show news in front of the group and telling us what´s the weather like in Colombia. The presentations were amazing! I’m glad they can talk about the environment.

CONJUCTION FUNCTION

"tecnologia en produccion agropecuaria ecologica" students from valle del morro learning how to use conjuctions while organizing jumbled sentences, these apprentices are dedicated mostly to agricultural labors and it's really a pleasure working with them since they are truly interested in learning english. Communicative Interaction

As part of the language contents to be taught in the English classroom, students learn and put into practice the names of important countries, nationalities, currencies as well as world population facts. As shown in the photos, Accounting and Finances learners in Socorro are really eager to interact each other asking and answering questions in English.

The snaphots here expose communicative intentions of students looking forward to share information related to countries from all around.

Domino

Les étudiants de gastronomie à San Gil ont fait des dominos avec des mots et des dessins tous différents pour apprendre les fruits, les légumes et quelques verbes reliées avec la cuisine. Chaque jeu devait compter 28 pièces.                

Dans l'image ci-dessous, on voit les pièces du domino fait par l'un des groupes que mélange des verbes en français et l'anglais. À la fin, on a "parcœurisé" le vocabulaire de la cuisine de manière ludique au travers de dominos. À bientôt!

COMPOUND WORDS FROM ADSI

This wonderful group of students from ADSI are performing an activitie of compound words,this is a great way to learn not only vocabulary, but they are able to build up diferents words in order to understand the meaning of the same.putting two words together. Also they have the oportunity to pronounce the words.and memorize it to create diferents sentences. September 16, 2013

Christmas time!

Christmas time,

Throughout this activity students from the nursing program were exposed to a set of listening exercises in order to recognize all structures in present continuous and vocabulary related to Christmas.

Firstly, students did diverse listening comprehension exercises such as true-false and matching ones. Then, when played a game in which they were asked about the new words and their corresponding pronunciation. The idea was to stick on the board a picture in front of the agreeing word or phrase.

Secondly, students built up a short conversation where they were supposed to use questions in present simple and continuous forms regarding Christmas.

Finally, they presented their conversations to the class and were given feedback about pronunciation and tenses. 

Building vocabulary

Students of Gestión Empresarial (San Gil) were checking the basic vocabulary that they learnt in the last competence. In the pictures, they are making flash cards using the verbs in infinitive, past simple and images, where they were trying to represent the verbs with one of them. The students were divides in 8 groups and each team has different vocabulary to represent.

The idea of the activity was to link vocabulary with an image and then to make sentences using the words given, past simple and present simple form to develop writing and speaking skills.
