Playing Simon says...
During this
activity Students were taught different parts of their bodies by playing a game
called “Simon says…” This game consists of ordering students to touch a part of
their bodies named by the teacher in English. The idea is to keep your eyes closed
while the game is being developed. The student who gets right the most wins the
game.
After
reviewing this set of vocabulary students were ready to describe one character physically
and say what he/she often, usually or never does. This activity was previously developed
in other classes so that students were well-prepared for their presentations.
Classroom interaction!
Logic games such as geometric puzzles were used to teach Graphic Design students in Socorro, how to provide with meaning a simple pattern consisting of seven geometric flat shapes. This is called "Tangram" and students were all participating in a creative lesson, as well as inviting other classes to join their graphic experiences and practicing engllish descriptions with them.
