Apprentices from To en Contabilidad y Finanzas 893878 in the competence “comprender textos en inglés de forma escrita y auditiva” willingly took part of this activity as they were very interested in learning the vocabulary of “Body Parts”. They followed the commands from the teacher and classmates themselves which involved contact verbs, body parts, and orientation vocabulary; for instance, a classmate said “Simon says to put your right hand on your classmate’s head”. Consequently apprentices practiced their listening and speaking activities by socializing with their classmates. [by JPS]

Volunteachers in action

The Volunteacher Program is an initiative  that seeks to bring English teachers from around the world to teach English in Colombia's Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje SENA.

During the first semester 2015, apprentices from Technical and Technological programs at Centro Agroturistico are  having a great chance to interact with English speakers coming from Canada, England and Germany.

This is an opportunity for exchange both in language and culture from other countries.

In this activity apprentices from Tc en Contabilidad y Finanzas 918633 in the competence “comprender textos en ingles de forma escrita y auditiva” share impressions about their classmates. In order to carry out this activity, apprentices first stuck a sheet of paper on their backs. Second, they went around the classroom writing adjectives which described the owner of the sheet. At the end of the activity apprentices could see what their classmates think about them and gave their opinion about the description. Hence, this activity fostered cooperative learning, reviewing adjectives to describe people both physically and personally, and, most importantly, social awareness since this would make them feel more self-confident. How to order in a cafeteria

Students from Asistencia Administrativa 893911 wanted to learn how to order in a cafeteria, We visited a famous cafeteria en Socorro and they learnt how to use different vocabulary. We had a great snack and enjoyed this different activity in a spectacular environment. By JFGS
