Verbs in Computer Management!

In this class apprentices from computer management in villanueva learnt verbs and new words through memory games that prepared them for a guessing word challenge. We learnt a lot of words and had so much fun with these games. OG.

The Labyrinth

In this activity depicted in the picture, apprentices from "Tc en Contabilidad" put into practice what they had been studying about understanding and giving directions. First at all, the apprentices built a labyrinth using the chairs and tables of the classroom. After, they worked in couples so that one person was blindfolded trusting on the other apprentice who was in charge of giving the correct direction in order to go through the labyrinth. It was a relly fun activity as they all laughed most profusely. [JPS]

Getting Ready For The World Of Work.

Hotel Management apprentices had the chance to get ivolved into a job interview simulation exercise in Spanish and English as well.This activity was very important to them since they are aware of the fact that they need to get ready for a world of work that is more and more demanding.In this way, they learned several tips while going to a job interview: Be on time, how to make a good CV, how to dress, body language, good communication skill, and so on.

Typing skills

Students from gestion administrativa wanted to learn the difference between typing in english and in spanish. It was a good experience for them to feel how accurate they should be in order to make the letter properly. They had a good time and understood how the exercise works, JFGS

In this English lesson we had a very interactive family reviewing, where all we participated describing our families. The apprentices were really excited abut it cause everyone had the chance to tell us about their own family, and for me as their instructor was very nice to know them a little bit deeper.

Shots and Angles

The students of Media made a video from a film in English, where they identified the type of shots and angles given in the class in order to learn and practice their environment vocabulary. This activity made by Diana Munoz was based on "Catch me if you can" film directed by Steven Spielberg. Note that the teachers of media will use this material in order to promote their course. Acknowledgement to Teacher Daniel Lazaro who shared his knowledge for developing this activity.

Instructors at Sena are also starting a learning process. We meet every morning to share information, have fun and learn English!

In other words...

In this activity apprentices from "Tc. en Contabilidad y finanzas" (918633) put into practice their communicative skills in order to convey a definition of a concept. For this, the class was split into two teams and each of them sent a volunteer to the board. The apprentices at the board were expected to guess the word or concept that their classmates were explaining to them. The apprentices got really involved in the activity by participating actively in the description race. The activity ended up by being a success to make learners talk in the target-language. [JPS]

How To Erect Scaffolding

Apprentices from "Mantenimiento y reparación  de edificaciones" learned  scaffolding parts and put into practice their knowledge on how to erect it.

Speed Dating

Students from Gestion Empresarial 865635-1 wanted to know how speed dating works. The teacher explained the activity and they started to meet each other for a small period of time. At the end the realized how important comunication is and why there is more than meets the eye. We had a great time.

Coming soon!

Students of Media rehearsed for a music video. They interviewed the band and wrote a review in English about them. After this, they recorded it. This is just the first attempt. They will add to the video clip in upcoming classes.

Plans for the future....

This time apprentices from Design ficha 902107 had to explain in a very short presentation a design concept by using handmade drawings. How creative they were!! O.G

Learning from the beginning

In this activity we were working with students from the ficha number 961354-2, learning about greetings, introductions and the alphabet through the tingo-tango game, spelling other's name.

BINGO!

Apprentices from ficha 902651 were eager to participate in a Bingo with the aim to review vocabulary such us numbers, animals, shapes, and tools.   V.A

MAKING AND PLAYING

In this activity apprentices from 813294 course, Technology in Accouting and Finance, came up with ideas to make some board games. By taking into account their knowledge about the language and using their creativity, the apprentices of this course made some board games aimed at reviewing some topics they were interested in reinforcing. After having made the games, the apprentices had fun playing with their own games. [by JPS]

Kite Flying day !

Students from Gestion Empresarial 865635-1 and 2 were eager to prove themselves how skilled they are at building and flying kites. Due to the fact that august is well-known for being pretty windy, they brought their own materials to build these unique kites. Then we went together to "la gruta" and had a special time together trying to fly those kites. By JFGS
